remote administration tool for Windows 95/98. As
we heard from some users, the server doesn't work
on NT, only the client does. Hack'a'Tack consists
of two files: Hack'a'Tack.exe and Server.exe.
Hack'a'Tack.exe is the Client you have to run on
your own computer. Server.exe must run on the
computer you want to connect to. Once opened,
the Server copies itself into the windows
directory and is executed on each start of
windows. Features: Main Window:
Establishing a connection You could say
there are 3 ways to get an infected machine you
can connect to. The easiest one is probably to
click the Transmit IP button. Then you just have
to wait a sec and soon you will see many infected
computers in the list below. Double-click on the
name you are interested in. The 2nd way, which
will also find older Servers, is to use the
scanner. Enter the Start-IP into the input field
and click on the scan above button to start
scanning. If the scanner found a machine its name
will also be shown in the list below. The third
way to establish a connection can only be used, if
you want to get into a special computer. If you
have infected a special person just get the
present IP through ICQ or by another way, paste it
into the IP-Address field and click on the connect
button. FTP Transmit IP: Uploads your IP to an
FTP-Server. When a Server is online, it downloads
your IP from the FTP-Server and contacts your
Client. You can see the computer name of the
Server and its IP in the window below the Transmit
IP button. To change the FTP-Server the Client
transmits its IP to, click on the options button
and choose FTP-Server Configurator. A new window
will pop up, where all configurations can be done.
Check Freeze List (also under options) to freeze
the whole FTP-List. Scan The Client has a
integrated high-performance IP-Scanner. With the
standard settings the Client scans 1 subnet in 3
seconds! With the two trackbars you can adjust the
speed of the scanner up to 10 subnets per second.
But act carefully - the scanning speed depends on
your connection. If it is too slow or overloaded,
your system will perhaps go down! The Options
button: Change Username Just enter a new
Username and hit the OK button to change it.
Freeze List Check it to freeze the list of
infected machines above. FTP-Server
Configurator Choose it to change the FTP-Server
the Client transmits its IP to. Server
Password If you set up a password to the Server
you have to enter it here before you can connect.
Server Notificator When you add the name of a
person to the notification list, Hack'a'Tack gives
you a message when this person comes online. You
can add a name by right-clicking on it or entering
it by hand. You must enable the notification list
by checking the box between Add and Delete!
ATTENTION: You must have transmitted your ip to
the FTP-Server to make the Notification work!
Server Configurator This util lets you
configurate the Server file on your local drive,
not the Server on a machine that is already
infected. To open a file double-click the icon in
the upper left corner. You may adjust everything
you want and then click the OK button to save all
changes to the file, which is in memory at the
moment. If you set a password, you have to enter
it next time you want to connect to the infected
machine. Right-click on the connect button to
input it or click on the Options button and choose
Server Password. Double-click the icon in the
upper right corner the change the icon of the
Server file. Lights left to the buttons: These
lights show you how many people are connected to
the server you are connected to at the moment. You
can talk to them with the clientchat. General
