Bacalid.b is a virus that infects executable (EXE) files residing on local drives and accessible network shares. The parasite also secretly downloads from the Internet and runs arbitrary, potentially malicious files. It uses an integrated rootkit to hide its presence in the system, and injects harmful code into running processes to avoid detection. Bacalid.b may cause Windows Explorer to crash.
