From the doc: 'A Identd is used to 'spoof ' a
username. EX: if your real username is Drago, I
would use the identd and for the username 'Blah'
when I went on iRC my /whois would look like
'Blah@' instead of Drago. A Identd also
stops the ~ (tilde) from showing in your /whois on
iRC also. Identd Daemons can also be used to FTP,
Telnet, WWW, or any other internet related item
that checks ident.'
